  7.     His return was the stuff of legends. After removal of a
  8. cancerous tumor from his left arm last year, it seemed Dave
  9. Dravecky might not pitch again. But the San Francisco Giants'
  10. lefthander came back splendidly and was going against Montreal
  11. last week, when he heaved a mighty pitch -- and something
  12. cracked. He fell to the ground, his arm broken. Later he told
  13. a teammate, "It was better to have had a taste of honey than
  14. never to have come back at all."
